Ogun State House of Assembly is set for the holding of stakeholders' forum on a bill for a law to regulate the activities of scavengers and waste dealers in the State to promote public order, environmental safety and peaceful co-existence and for related matters.
The Clerk/ Head of Legislative Service, Mr. Sakiru Adebakin, who made this known in a statement made available to Edu-Biznews, said that the forum would hold on Wednesday, 5th March, 2025 at the Oke-Mosan Complex of the assembly in Abeokuta, the State capital
The bill titled: "HB. No.020/ OG/ 2025- Scavengers and Waste Dealers Regulation law, 2025", was meant to harness the inputs from relevant stakeholders to regulate the activities of scavengers across the State.
He added that the public hearing would be starting from 10.00am prompt; asking all stakeholders to be seated by 9.30am.
