The popular monthly interview discourse on governance and nation building, Boiling Point Arena, is eliciting great interest from Nigerians and media groups across the globe.

The issue on the front burner this coming Sunday March 9, 2025, is   providing a platform to thoroughly scrutinize the validity or otherwise of recent revelations by former Military President, Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida(rtd.) on the annulment of the June 12, 1993 Presidential Election.

The programme is featuring three Discussants including a retired Military General who was among the dramatis personae in the whole saga, a Media Icon, Senator Babafemi Ojudu and Mr Jamiu Abiola, one of the children of the late Chief MKO Abiola, the symbol of the June 12 mandate.

A new radio station based in Shagamu, Ogun State, the Eri-Nbe 92.1FM, is the latest addition to the list of radio and television stations collaborating to widen the audience reach of Boiling Point Arena via the terrestrial frequency across Nigeria and around the globe.

Owned by an accomplished entrepreneur, Prophet Israel Ajadi and having a veteran journalist, Mr Dele Ayodo as Managing Director, the radio station is located on the Shagamu-Ogijo Highway,  beaming clear signals to places around the Ijebu axis, other parts of Ogun State and also most parts of Lagos.

With deepened news content on consistent monthly basis via Zoom, about six media groups have so far found the interview discourses worthy of being beamed live in the recent past.

Among these stations are Oodua 99.9FM, Abeokuta, Sweet 107.1FM, Abeokuta, WASH 94.9FM, Lagos, Eagle 7 Radio 103.7FM, Roots 97.1FM and the London-based Ben Television.

The once-in-a-month current affairs programme with an incredibly large online followership, is the brainchild of a media professional and public relations strategist, Dr Ayo Arowojolu, who parades 35 years multi-varied work career spanning the media, banking and education sectors.

The discourses in the last three months have featured a One-on-One live Interview of former Nigeria's President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo who spoke on his assessment of today's Nigeria, the Prof. Toyin Falola Interview on Africa's Future as well as the Nigeria's Economic Crises thrashed by Prof Farooq Kperogi and Mr Seun Onigbinde.

The forthcoming edition which is the 29th episode, kicks of by 8pm on Sunday over a two-hour duration.

The topic of discourse is: "June 12: The Babangida Apologia and the Opening of Old Wounds and What Consequences to Follow, If Any".

Foremost traditional ruler, the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Prof Saka Matemilola is expected to deliver a keynote speech to herald the discourse.
