Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has described the life and long reign of the Osile of Oke-Ona Ẹgba, Oba (Dr.)Adedapo Tejuoso as a testament of God's grace and benevolence as he clocks 87.
Abiodun was speaking on Tuesday at the 2025 Kings' Day of Praise at the OOPL Event Centre, Abeokuta, to commemorate the 87th birthday of the Monarch, an event which is held annually for kings "to worship the Almighty God, who is the King of Kings".
Governor Abiodun represented by the Secretary to Ogun State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi was full of appreciation to God for another significant moment to celebrate the revered monarch on his birthday
"it is with immense joy and profound respect that I stand before you today, on this auspicious occasion of the Kings' Day of Praise, a day dedicated to the worship of our Almighty God and a day that holds special significance as we celebrate the 87th birthday of our revered Oba Osile of Oke-Ona Egba".
Abiodun while congratulating the King on the milestone, added that he was " deeply honoured to be part of this gathering, a gathering that underscores the importance of unity, faith, and the unwavering pursuit of God's guidance in all that we do."
He commended Oba Osile for supporting his administration, saying that he rejoiced with Osile of Oke-Ona Egba, on his 87th birthday, a man who embodies the virtues of leadership, wisdom, and unwavering faith. The Governor pointed out that, his reign had long been marked by a deep commitment to the well-being of his people with dedication to upholding traditional values, and a profound faith in the Almighty God.
He also noted that the annual kings Day of Praise exemplified the weight of Obas' responsibility, saying their stewardship role transcends their communities, and commitment to the welfare of their people. ‘’Their presence here today is a testament to their unwavering faith, their belief in the power of prayer, and their dedication to seeking God's guidance in their kingdoms’’.
Governor Abiodun said his administration would continue to work hand-in-hand with the monarchs towards creating a state where peace, prosperity, and God’s principles would remain the cornerstone of the society.
