The Vice Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello has approved the appointment of Mrs Aderemi Adekemi Ogunbayo, as the new Head Teacher of the Lagos State University Staff School.
Ogunbayo as the newly appointed Head Teacher, is expected to provide outstanding leadership and contribute significantly to the growth and success of the school.
Profile OF Mrs Aderemi Adekemi Ogunbayo
Mrs Aderemi Adekemi Ogunbayo hails from Agbowa-Ikosi in the Epe Local Government area of Lagos State.
She obtained her first degree in English Language Education from the University of Ado-Ekiti in 2007.
She also obtained a Master’s degree (M.Ed) in Language Education from Lagos State University in 2023.
Mrs Ogunbayo started her teaching career at Sharon Private School Ijegun, Lagos in 1996 and migrated to Blessed Assurance College in 2007 where she rose to the rank of Vice-Principal and served till 2018 before joining Lagos State University Staff School as an English Language teacher in October 2018.
Since 2018, she has served in LASU Staff School as the Head of Department, Languages (2021-2023), Head of Nursery Section (2023-till date), General Secretary, LASU Staff School P.T.A (2023-till date), Chairman, LASU Staff School Sanitation Committee (2018-till date), Chairman LASU Staff School World Book Day Celebration Committee (2018-2023), Chairman LASU Staff School Literary and Debate Society (2018-2023), Chairman, LASU Staff School Disciplinary Committee (2023-till date), etc.
Mrs Ogunbayo is a member of the English Language Teachers Association of Nigeria (ELTAN), member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), a team leader, WAEC marking and coordination (2009-till date), etc.
She is married and blessed with children.
