Ogun Assembly Holds Stakeholders'Forum On Principal -General Office Bill On Wednesday




Ogun State House of Assembly will on this Wednesday, 9th October, 2024 hold a public hearing on "a bill for a law to create the Office of Principal-General in the State and for other matters incidental thereto or connected therewith"

Clerk of the Assembly, Mr.  Sakiru Adebakin who announced this in a statement on Tuesday made available to Edu-Biznews, explained  that the stakeholders' forum on the bill titled "H.B. No. 016/OG/2024 - the Principal-General  (Creation of Office) law, 2024, was meant to harness the inputs of all relevant stakeholders in achieving a bill that would further boost the morale of teachers towards contributing their best to educational development of the State.

He added that the forum would commence at 10.00am prompt at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan Abeokuta, while all invited guests are to be seated at 9.30.

Edu-Biznews recalls that the State branch of Academic State Union Of Secondary Schools ASUSS had called on the Ogun State Government to create a legal framework for the establishment of the office of Principal General which must be gazetted, so as to sustain the office after the expiration of the current administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun in the state
