Ayemwenre opened scoring in the 48th minute of a week six match, before Onwe grabbed a brace in the 55th and 73rd minutes to secure the historic three maximum points and massive win for Ikorodu City side against the visiting Insurance
With the result, the Lagos based team now moved from the bottom of the Nigeria's top flight league to the 17th position with four points while Insurance are occupying the 12th position with six points
Defending champions, Enugu Rangers suffered their second loss in the league to home side , Sunshine Stars of Akure who won by a lone-goal at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State
Chukwude's lone strike in the 44th minute gave the Akure gunners the much needed win to displace Rangers at the fourth position with 10 points while the visitors dropped to fifth position with the same number of points
Rangers had earlier suffered their first defeat in the same state to Remo Stars of Ikenne Remo who won by 2-1 in the week four of the league
