French Embassy in Nigeria is seeking collaboration with Department of Foreign Languages in the Faculty of Arts of the Lagos State University Ojo
Two senior officials of the French Embassy in Abuja, the Attachee on French Corporation from the Embassy, Magaly Losange and Sociologist, Dr Chloe Pellegrini made this known on Wednesday, when they paid a visit to the Department of Foreign Languages in the Faculty of Arts where the French programme is domiciled.
The attachee explained that the visit was aimed at exploring the standard of the French programme vis-a-vis the possibility of creating a partnership between the French Embassy and the Department in the area of training.
The visit to the department was followed by a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of the university,Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello at her office on the 6th floor of the Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building, main campus, Ojo.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Olufunsho Omobitan who received the team from French Embassy with excitement, informed them of the esteemed status of the French programme among the courses in the university and LASU's readiness to partner the French Embassy.
The Dean, Faculty of Arts, Prof. Ayo Ayodele; the Director, Centre for the Actualisation of the SDGs and professor in the department, Prof. Tayo Ajayi, the Head, Department of Foreign Languages, Dr Adetola, and other members of the department were with the guests when they visited the Vice-Chancellor.
