Ogun TESCOM Boss Charges Stakeholders On Proper Implementation OF Education Policies As Schools Set For Resumption

Stakeholders in the education sector of Ogun State have been charged to prepare for school resumption for the 2024/2025 academic session and ensure that policies of the government were properly implemented.

Chairman of the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Evang. Olalekan Ifede, gave the charge during a radio programme in Abeokuta, saying the cooperation of the stakeholders was needed to further improve the standard of education in the state.

Evang. Ifede noted that all agencies of government in the education sector had put in place necessary measures for a hitch-free resumption, calling on teachers, parents and students to complement the present administration’s effort in transforming education.

"The government on his part is doing the needful. We have augmented the teachers' workforce, a number of them have been absorbed into the system as permanent teachers and the recruitment is continuous. Parents, guardians and the society on their part must support the government by fulfilling their obligations too, so we can together raise a better generation", he said.

Ifede stated that though the economy of the country was bad, parents should strive to provide basic educational needs for their children to enable them excel in their studies.
