Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) Abeokuta will be holding the 2024 Third Quarter Zonal SIWES Supervisory Meeting on Wednesday, 25th September
During the quarterly meeting, the leadership of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), SIWES Directors, and SIWES Officers from all tertiary institutions in Ogun State including Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education are to deliberate on critical issues concerning SIWES, industrial training (IT), and other skill acquisition matters, especially as such matters may concern students in tertiary institutions in the State.
MAPOLY according to a statement made available to Edu-Biznews on Monday by Head of Public Relations and Protocol of the institution, Yemi Ajibola, last hosted the event in 2015
The quarterly meeting will focus on the *raging issue of one-year mandatory IT after the ND programme* now made compulsory by NYSC before HND graduates can be mobilised for the National Service
It will be recalled that NYSC began the implementation of the new policy
Rector of the institution, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji, will give a keynote address at the Meeting, and later declare it open.
