Alaseyori Community in Obafemi -Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State has accused Baale Kusumodi, Chief Taiwo Alli Balogun of encroaching on landed property belonging to six villages Abule Ijeun Lujogbon , Erunbe Luwoye ,Odo Eri, Oyero Oduntan as well as Abule Lukosi and Kerewu
Oloye Adio Popoola Luwoye on behalf of his family members from Erunbe Village, one of the affected villages had joined the entire Alaseyori community in their separate petitions obtained by Edu-Biznews on Friday, in seeking the urgent intervention of the Ogun State Police Commissioner and Commander, Illegal and Land Grabber, by calling the Baale to order , so as to prevent the imminent breakdown of law and order over the disputed land matter
The community had before writing the petitions , reported the alleged encroachment by some suspected land grabbers to the Palace of Alake of Egbaland, Oba(Dr ) Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, where Egba Complaints Committee handled the matter, using the Alternative Conflicts Resolution mechanism to resolve the issue in favour of the community and directed the Baale to return the pillars he dug to its original positions
The committee before delivering its judgement last 9th of July , 2024 had embarked on a fact finding visit to the disputed land and based its verdict on the evidences obtained
The judgement which has the approval of the paramount ruler of Egbaland Oba Gbadebo, ordered Baale Kusumodi to make necessary corrections where necessary, saying "Kusumodi 's land stops at the bank of Odo Eri
"All the villages are not to go beyond their original boundaries " , the committee ruled
But Chief Taiwo Alli Balogun, the Baale Kusumodi despite the judgement of Egba Complaint Committee against him, was said to be laying claim to six villages without any evidence to back his claim
Oloye Adio Popoola Luwoye in his petition to the Commander ,Illegality and Land Grabber, accused the Baale of positioning thugs on the disputed land, daring anyone to enter the land
"Sir , we urged you in the interest of justice to intervene in this matter", he pleaded
