Fuel Hike: Ogun Former Councillor,Olasupo Idowu Lauds Gov Dapo Abiodun On 3-Day Working Week For Workers

 


Former Councillor in Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon. Gafar Olasupo Idowu has lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for the 3-Day working week recently announced by his administration, so as to cushion the effect of economic hardship of current hike in the pump price of petrol in the country on workers on the payroll of the State Government 

The immediate past Councilor  who represented Ward 05 ( Ijemo Ward ) in Abeokuta South Local Government, commended the governor  for his quick response to the welfare of the workers in the state.

Following the pronouncement, workers in the grade level 01-14 will be going to the office three days in a week, while, the workers in the grade level 15-17 will only have one-day as off in a week.

Hon. Olasupo who is also known as GASLAND, during his tenure as Councilor  empowered several people within his ward, most especially the aged and youths.

Olasupo who is seeking re-election on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC) , also facilitated boreholes to Ijemo Agbadu and dispensary and donated solar system to the ward.

As a peace-loving lawmaker, he fostering unity, peace and love among the entire people of his ward.

His empowerment cut across the three Zones of his ward, where not less than 60 people were empowered every three months.

Mr. Sunday Omidiji, the Chairman of the ruling party ,APC in Ward 05, Ijemo Abeokuta attested to the good work of Hon. Olasupo Idowu saying, he was adjudged the best Councilor out of the 15 wards of the Premier Local Government. 

The ward Chairman added that Olasupo Idowu never spent a dime out of his wardrobe allowance , instead he  distributed the allowance to the people of his ward to demonstrate his commitment to better life and progress of his people.

According to him, Olasupo Idowu romanced very well with his people and most especially on their health.

Omidiji attributed the choice of Olasupo Idowu as nominee for the ward to represent it for second term in the forthcoming Local Government elections in the state, to his selfless services to the people 

He urged the people of Ijemo to vote enmass for Hon. Olasupo Idowu in the coming elections.

The election to the twenty local Governments in Ogun State comes up on Saturday 16th November, 2024 as announced by the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission, OGSIEC.
