Both Kenyatta University from Kenya and host Nigeria's Lagos State University Ojo are jostling for the top spot in male football event in Group A of the ongoing 11th Africa University Games, following their respective victories in the second group matches played on Monday
Kenyatta University defeated University of Ghana 2-0 while LASU managed a 2-1 win against fellow compatriots Federal University, Oye in Ekiti State in the group other match played on the Ojo campus
Both Kenyatta and LASU are now topping the group with four points each , having played a one -all draw with each other in the opening match in the group
Also co-host, University of Lagos lost by a lone-goal to University for Development Studies, Ghana in the Group B match of male football event
In the male basketball event on Monday, host, Lagos State University defeated compatriots Nile University, Abuja 56-57 points
This Tuesday in a male handball event, University of Zimbabwe take on LASU team
