Ogun State Fire Service team were ruthless on Monday, as they humiliated debutants Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) side 6-0 in an opening Group A match of the ongoing fourth edition of Value Jet/Ogun SWAN Security Cup played at the MKO Abiola International Stadium in Kuto Abeokuta, the state capital
The fire service boys who were having a goal advantage into second half of the encounter, scored five more goals to put the match beyond the road safety side and secure the maximum three points in the tie
With the result, the State Fire Service are currently topping Group A with three points ahead of defending champions Police Machines and Custom Service team who are having a point each, after settling for a three -all draw in the other match played in the group
Similarly in the Group B match played between the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps TRACE and former champions, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ended in a two-all draw, with each of the both sides, having a point in the group
The FRSC side will be facing an uphill task on Thursday against Police Machines who will be going all out for a win to remain in contention in the competition, after their previous match against the Customs team which ended in a draw while the Customs side will also be taking on the group leaders, Fire Service team in other match in the group
In Group B, TRACE will be looking forward to consolidate on their impressive two -all with NSCDC, when they try another debutants, the Economic and Financial Crime Commissions EFCC team for size on Thursday in continuation of the competition
