Ogun Technical Education Board Honours Five Retired Principals, Others




Ogun State Technical and Vocational Education Board (OGSTVEB) has celebrated five retired Principals of Government Technical Colleges; Idi-Aba Abeokuta, Ijebu- Igbo, Ijebu-Ode, Ajegunle and Ayetoro, as well as, the Board's Higher Technical Instructor and Zonal Education Officer Obafemi-Owode Local Government, after their meritorious service.

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu speaking at the retirement ceremony, at the Board’s conference room, in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta,implored the retirees to prioritise their health as they proceed on retirement, wishing them a fulfilling life during the period.

In her remark, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Oluwatosin Oloko, commended the retirees for their selfless contributions and legacies in the technical education sector.

in his goodwill message, praised the retirees for their instrumental role in OGSTVEB’s achievements, while recognising their dedication and expertise to technical and vocational education in the state, saying their selfless efforts had transformed the lives of numerous students.

Speaking at the event, the acting Executive Secretary, OGSTVEB, Mr. Olubori Akinleye noted that the retirement ceremony was well-deserved, which serves as a tribute to the retirees, creating an opportunity for family and loved ones to come together and celebrate them.

          
“This retirement ceremony is also to serve as a reminder of the value and importance of long-standing service and commitment by showcasing the retirees as role models”, he said.
         
 Speaking on behalf of the retirees, a former Principal of Government Technical College, Ijebu-Ode, Mr. Samuel Omotola expressed gratitude to the Board for holding a befitting ceremony that marks their departure from the service, praying for the Board’s continued success and growth.
