Activities lined up for the 2024 Public Service Day Celebration in Ogun State will commence on Friday, August 9, 2024, with a Thanksgiving Jumat Service by 1.00 pm.
at the State Secretariat Mosque, Oke-Mosan in Abeokuta, the State capital
The State Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya who announced this in a statement made available to Edu-Biznews on Thursday, says a Thanksgiving Church Service will hold on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Government House Chapel, Isale-Igbein, Abeokuta, by 8.30 am.
The release stated further that a health programme tagged, ‘Know Your Health Status with a special focus on the Launch of the Formal Sector Health Insurance Scheme, will come up on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Oba’s Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta at 9.00 am, while an Indoor Game is slated for Arcade Ground, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta between 9.00 am to noon, and Football Matches for the male and female teams from the Mainstream Civil Service and Parastatals will start by 2.00 pm at the M.K.O Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, same day.
It added that the activities will be rounded-off on Thursday, August 15, 2024, with Public Service Day Symposium themed, ‘’Building a Socially Responsive Public Service in the 21st Century: The Place of Ethics and Values’’, holding at Oba’s Complex at 10.00 am, under the Lead Discussant of a former Head of Service of Ogun State, and the immediate past Commissioner in the Federal Civil Service Commission, (Ogun & Lagos States), Princess Iyabo Odulate.
The release urged all Public Servants to actively participate in all the activities lined-up for the celebration, and be seated at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the events, as attendance will be regarded as part of their official duties.
