Ogun State Government has asked private school owners to always give priority to moral education, so as to produce educative models and a well-grounded young individuals
The State Commissioner for Education Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu gave the charge while playing host to the Association of Model Islamic Schools (AMIS) in Abeokuta
Educating learners morally according to him, will help reduce the level of decadence, such as internet fraud, indecent dressing, indiscipline, hooliganism, cultism, among others.
Arigbabu also admonished the association to organise conferences to intimate its members on the need to always ensure compliance with policies, as well as rules and regulations of the ministry
He added that their cooperation would contribute to achieving the Prince Dapo Abiodun administration’s Education Revitalisation Agenda.
"As stakeholders, you should know what is going on and also influence the policy, we will continue to give you every necessary support", he said.
Speaking earlier, Chairman, AMIS, Ogun State Chapter, Alhaji Tajudeen Adeotan applauded the Ministry for its developmental initiatives and policies.
