It was a roll-call of who is who in Owu-Abeokuta kingdom and politics, particularly Chieftains of both the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC,) and main opposition , Peoples Democratic Party(PDP ) at wedding ceremony of Olutoye, a beautiful daughter of former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly and industrialist, Hon. Johnson Olu-Fatoki, held on Saturday,inside the magnificent Marque Event Centre at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library ,OOPL in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital
Dignitaries who stormed the colourful ceremony included Nigeria's former president and Balogun of Owu, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former deputy governor of the State, Alhaja Salmot Badru, the PDP 2023 governorship candidate, Hon.Ladipupo Adebutu, former speaker of the State Assembly, Right Honourable Suraj Adekunbi, the Minority of the house, Hon Lukemon Adeleye , aides of Governor Dapo Abiodun, the Olowu of Owu-Abeokuta kingdom, Oba(Prof) Saka Adelola Matemilola alongside with his wives, Olu of Eleyele , Oba(,Dr) M.A Ola Yusuf and Owu-Abeokuta Chiefsas well as top Media Executives, Mr. Eddy Aina of Sweet107.1 FM, Abeokuta and that of Splash 106.7Fm Abeokuta, Mr. Olaniyi and Managing Editor of Edu-Biznews, Abdulfatai Sobande amongst other eminent individuals
Father of the day and former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is the father of the day, the Olowu of Owu-Abeokuta kingdom, Oba (Prof) Saka Adelola Matemilola is Royal Father of the day
Chairman of the event, Chief (Elder) Joju Fadairo, an APC Chieftain urged the couple, Olutoye(bride) and Oluwayinka who is the groom and son of Pastor and Assistant Pastor (Mrs) Hezekiah Ayoade , to be prayerful to God and seek for divined guardiance in overcoming the challenges in marriage
Fadairo who prayed for fruitful marital life, cautioned them against allowing third party interference in their marriage, stressing the need for the couple to always listen to each other and resolve their differences amicably
Also speaking from the sidelines of the event with newsmen, the highly elated father of the bride, Olu-Fatoki , an Owu-Abeokuta high Chief who was full of appreciation for the large turn-out of dignitaries who graced the occasion, advised the newly wedded couple and other young couples to always be guided by words of advice from their parents
Chief Executive Officer of Olu Ventures Nigeria Limited, makers of Olu range of quality soaps emphasized the importance of undiluted love, saying their relationship should not be defined by money but love
The Oganla of Owu-Abeokuta kingdom and member of the new Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Idah in Kogi State, urged young couples to always make effort towards making Nigeria as a country, great again
"They must think of what they can offer to Nigeria and not what they gain from the system, they should work for the progress of the country and make it work for everyone of us ", he urged young couples
Former president, Obasanjo who was the Father of the day and the Olowu of Owu-Abeokuta, Oba Matemilola, the Royal Father of the event later took to dance floor to celebrate with the couple
