The upcoming National Sports Festival in Ogun State will now be the main focus for discovery of more talents as the curtain falls on the Paris 2024 Olympics, with Team-Nigeria struggling to make a podium finish in any of the events
Nigeria’s sports minister, John Owan Enoh at a press conference in Paris, says the barren outing of Nigeria at the Olympic Games has been an eye opener and we have to up our games.
"The starting point will be the National Sports Festival which Ogun State is hosting in January", he stated
He pointed out the matters of infrastructure and funding sports have become critical issues.
“Let’s turn what has happened (at Paris 2024) to reap positives for Nigerian sports.”
