FG Commissions First Smart School Model II In Ogun

Federal Government, through the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) has commissioned and handed over a newly built first Smart Model II School to the Ogun State Government and the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), with a charge to ensure effective utilization of the school 

The smart school is to complement the efforts of the Ogun State Government in providing qualitative education across the three senatorial districts

The UBEC State Coordinator, Mr. Sola Badmus who gave charge during the handover ceremony held at the school in Ikenne Remo, said  that the classrooms had been digitalized for the benefit of the learners.

Similarly, Executive Chairman of the State SUBEB, Dr. Femi Majekodunmi, stated that the school would support the current administration's efforts to ensure continuous access to quality education for learners.

Majekodunmi who describing the structure as a beautiful edifice, says the school comprises of  Pre-Primary, Primary, and Junior Secondary levels and is well-equipped with modern facilities. 

He assured that the school would be properly maintained, with a Headteacher, Principal and a number of teachers already appointed to oversee its operations.

The SUBEB Chairman expressed his appreciation to UBEC for the school, noting that all 36 states in the country benefited from the project, and lauding UBEC for the impressive facilities provided.

Also speaking at the event, the Board's Secretary, Dr. Mikhail Lawal, assured that the school would be well-maintained and secured to fulfill its intended purpose.

Among the facilities provided are a laboratory, robot studio, library, football pitch, and lawn tennis court, among others.
