MSSN Cautions Muslim Youths In Ogun Against Participating In Hunger Protest, Calls For Prayers To Sanitize Nigeria's Economy

Ogun Area Unit of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN) has cautioned Muslim youths against participating in the planned nation-wide hunger protest with #End Bad Governance In Nigeria", slated to begin this week, Thursday between August 1 and 10, saying such protest is capable of destabilizing the country 

Amir/President of the MSSN Ogun Area Unit, Abdulfatah  Adigun who made the call on Monday during a formal opening of the State IVC holding at Saint Michael Primary School, Ibiade in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area, however called on the youths to pray for leadership of the country to succeed in repositioning the economy for interest of all citizens 

"We enjoin ourselves to be focused on our aspirations as good Muslims and not to partake in any form of violence that can undermine the national progress of our dear country. We say no to violent protests as orchestrated by few individuals, it doesn't give us what is needed as it leads to chaos mostly . Let's rejuvenate ideal characters and values in the society as we expect our leaders to reciprocate and fervent prayer for the leadership to succeed should be encouraged among the youths", he stated 

The Muslim students apex body also expressed concern over the alarming rate of moral decadence among youths in the country, particularly the male who are involved in cyber -crime popularly known as Yahoo-Yahoo boys and female seen in the immoral act of prostitution (Oloso) just to make quick money, instead of working hard to create wealth for themselves in a dignified manner 

MSSN stressed the need for government to initiate policies to discourage such social vices and immoral activities and sanitize society 

"Wealth and it's acquisition are allowed for human being. And one must be aware that, the consequence of such an act as it will be felt by all. Hence, there is need to work on our minds and creed about life. Parents and members of the society are called upon to discourage modern acts perpetrated by youth to get wealth. Yahoo plus for boys and Oloso and naked dance for girls"

"The government should also put in place policies that will curtail excesses of its citizens with a view to sanitizing our society from the menace of moral decadence perpetrated under the guise of wealth creation", MSSN stated 

The Muslim Students Society equally asked teachers and parents to shun and condemned examination malpractices and all forms of social violence, so as to ensure sanity in schools and homes 

Teachers and parents are encouraged to shun and condemn examination malpractices, social violence, excessive love for wealth accumulation in all forms towards being triumphed in this life. Value oriented approach to things should be restored in our homes and schools.

MSSN recalled its notable achievements in the past 70 years of its existence as Muslim students body which produced  highly respected individuals with integrity such as the incumbent Registrar of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Prof. Oloyede and the likes
