Your Kano High Court Order Not Strong Enough To Protect You From EFCC - NNPP Scribe Tells Kwankwaso

The National Secretary of New Nigeria People's Party ( NNPP), Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday has told the 2023 presidential poll candidate of the party,
Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso that the recent order of Kano State High Court was not strong enough to protect him from being invited or arrested by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission(EFCC) on the alleged financial missappropriation leveled against him by the party

Oginni who stated this while addressing newsmen on Wednesday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital during the celebration of June 12 Democracy Day, also decried  the magnitude of unprecedented corruption by Successive Nigerian Government and Politicians which according according to him,has made nonsense of  democracy in the country

"The continuous resistance of Former Governors to EFCC Investigations is becoming worrisome as Nigeria is marking the June 12 Anniversary as Democracy Day", he added

Oginni as the National Secretary of NNPP had  requested for the EFCC investigation of Kwankwaso and other corrupt party officers on the money allegedly collected by the party from the sales of Nomination forms and Campaign funds donations, which he claimed was allegedly stolen by Kwankwaso and his cohorts.

The party scrib accused Kwankwaso of rushing to Kano State High Court to procure an order to stop EFCC from inviting him and other alleged corrupt officers for investigation in the same manner of which Yahaya Bello, the former Governor of Kogi State is trying to use Court to frustrate EFCC Prosecution.

"Nigerians cannot forget in hurry that the former Governor of Kogi State , Yahaya Bello also use Kogi State High Court to procure a frivolous order similar to what Kwankwaso also procured from Kano State High Court to frustrate EFCC investigation and arrest," he stated

Oginni in his reaction to the court order, made it clear that NNPP as a law abiding political party, NNPP has approached the relevant governmental agency with responsibility to deal with corruption in Nigeria

"We cannot teach EFCC how to do their job. I am very sure that EFCC is up to the task", he said

He however frowned at the decision of the former governor of Kano State for rushing to court for protection.

"The rush to procure a court order is suggestive". If Kwankwaso and his defunct NWC are as clean as they pretend to be, they have no reason to run away from EFCC's Investigation".

"The New Nigeria People's Party ( NNPP) is hereby calling on well meaning Nigerians to prevail on Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to voluntarily submit himself to EFCC. It's more honourable for him to peacefully engage EFCC than unnecessary confrontation like Yahaya Bello", he maintained
