Socio-Cultural Group Pays WAEC Registration Fees Of Students, Donates Exercise Books To Primary Schools In Remoland

A socio-cultural age grade group, Egbe Degbuyi Remo has paid registration fees of some secondary school students to the West African Examination Council, so as to enable them write Senior School Certificate Examination, just as it donated exercise books to selected primary schools in Remoland

Leader of the group, Gbuyi Saheed Olawale Oloyede speaking during presentation of cheques to the secondary school students for the payment of registration fees to the West African Examinations Council, reiterated the group's desire to continuously make positive impact in its immediate environment.

The event held on wednesday, 24th January, 2024, at the Revolution Restaurant, Lounge and Park, Sagamu/Benin Expressway, Sagamu area of Ogun State, also featured the presentation of exercise books to some selected primary schools in Remoland, to create a conducive learning environment for the pupils 

He assured of the group's continuous intervention in very important sectors, just as he spoke on the Egbe's past intervention, which includes donation to charities, orphanages, and health centres across Remoland.

The foremost socio-cultural age grade group in Remoland, according to the Giwa, shall continue to give back to the society, because doing that will provide the needed succour to the needy and the less-privileged in the society

In his address of welcome, the Projects Secretary of the group, and Chairman, Projects Committee, Gbuyi Adekolapo AWOSANYA, who was ably represented by the Co-Secretary of the Committee, and Financial Secretary of Egbe Degbuyi Remo, Gbuyi Diji OLADEINDE, appreciated the executive and entire members of the group, for their support to the committee, which had in no small way, helped in delivering on the assigned task.

He charged the beneficiaries of the group's kind gesture, to justify the opportunity provided, as they focus and concentrate more on their studies, and urged them to desist from all forms of societal evils, as he prayed for them for breakthrough in their academic pursuit.

Responding, some of the students who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, appreciated the group for the kind gesture.

Thirty nine secondary school students benefitted from the WAEC registration sponsorship, with each getting a sum of #30,000, while primary schools selected across Remo towns and communities were presented exercise books.

In attendance at the event were members of the group, both from home, and the diaspora; teaching and non-teaching staff from the benefitting schools; staff of FCMB, the official banker of the group; representatives from the local governments and the Ogun State Ministry of Information.
