Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS) will begin enforcement exercise on all its revenue heads to recover all outstanding tax liabilities and increase revenue expected to be generated into government's coffer, beginning from this Tuesday 7th November, 2023
Executive Chairman of OGIRS, Mr Olugbenga Olaleye made this known in a statement made available to Edu-Biznews on Monday from his office at the Revenue Headquarters, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta
According to the statement, the exercise will focus on, but not limited to, ensuring total compliance with payment of consumption taxes, withholding taxes back duty liabilities and road taxes
He noted that the exercise would continue until all Tax liabilities due to the State government are recovered and paid into the government's coffer
Olaleye who said that the exercise would commence simultaneously in the three Senatorial District of the State, urged all Road users to ensure that road documents are up to date and other tax defaulters immediately remit all outstanding tax liabilities through the Agency's website or visit any of the tax stations located across the state.
