Gov Abiodun Restate Commitment To Investments In Ogun Cultural Tourism To Attract More Foreign ,Local Investors

Governor Dapo Abiodun says his administration will continue to invest in the Ogun State's culture and tourism, so as to attract more foreign and local investors across the globe.

Abiodun who gave the reassurance during the year 2023 Oronna Ilaro festival with the theme, "Festival of Great Expectation" held at the Asade Agunloye pavilion ground in Ilaro, posited that attracting foreign and local investors via culture would have a positive effect on the Internally Generated Revenue of the State.

          

The Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, congratulated the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Olugbenle and indigenes of the town on the occasion, saying Oronna festival had attained global prominence for its historical significance and serves as a reminder of the rich and unbroken string of great accomplishments of the Ilaro indigenes right from the homestead.

“In the same vein, this festival had served as a distinction medium for the mobility and convergence of Ilaro sons and daughters home and abroad for the socio-economic and infrastructural development of Ilaro and Ogun State at large", he stated.

Also speaking, Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Adeola Olamilekan applauded traditional rulers and indigenes of Ilaro on the successful hosting of the cultural event, thanking the present administration for his developmental strides across Ogun West, assuring that the Senatorial District would witness turnaround in due course.

 In his remark, the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle expressed optimism  that bad roads in the area would be fixed soon by the government, enjoining people of the area to continue to support Governor Abiodun-led administration.

The Chairman 30th-anniversary Planning Committee of the event, Otunba Lekan Asuni had earlier said the cultural event was a platform to promote culture and tradition of the town, adding that the festival was a rallying point for all sons and daughters of Ilaro to foster unity and facilitate developmental projects to the community.
