Agura Demise: Allstars Football Club, Abeokuta Commiserate With Jagunmolu of Gbaguraland

Members of Allstars Football Club Abeokuta have commiserated with the Jagunmolu of Gbaguraland, who also doubled as Osi Asoju-Oba of Egbaland, Chief Bukola Olopade over the demise of the Agura of Gbaguraland Oba Sabur Babajide Ishola Bakre.

Oba Bakre joined his Ancestors on Wednesday night.

The Monarch, a retired Customs Officer ascended the throne of his Forebearers in 2019 and ruled the kingdom for four years.

Oba Bakre passed on at the age of 61.

Allstars FC, Abeokuta in a condolence message signed by the President, Alhaji Lawal Adeoye Waheed to Chief  Olopade described the demise of the monarch as a rude shock and a huge loss to Egbaland.

The message also commiserated with Governor Dapo Abiodun, Gbagura Chiefs, Agura Community and the State as a whole.

He described Oba Bakre as a quintessential personality, a man of peace and a passionate supporter of development. Moreso, a lover of Sports, especially football.

"There is no doubt that your reign brought peace, unity and development to the Egbaland in general".

"Oba Bakre served his people and the State diligently and kept faith with his people. He will be remembered for his love for his people"

"He was a revered monarch who was loved and cherished by his everyone. His legacies will forever be loved in the hearts of the Egba sons and daughter".

"May Almighty Allah accept him into Aljanah,." the president concluded in the condolence message
