President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been charged to give every Nigerian-Child a renewed hope for a brighter future full of opportunities
Promoter of a Non-Governmental Organization, Ireede Grassroots Foundation, Hon.Olufunmilayo Ireede-Oginni gave the charge on Saturday while felicitating with children in the country on the occasion of the 2023 International Children Day
She urged the incoming administration of Bola Tinubu to initiate policies and programmes that will appreciate talents and encourage Nigerian -Child to excel in various fields of human endeavour
The proprietress of Future Promise Group of Schools, Abeokuta described the theme of this year's celebration "The State of the Nigerian Children Today: Proper Parenting for Value Re-Orientation and National Consciousness’’ as most appropriate, stressing the need for parents to be of good role models to their wards
According to her, only righteous parents can inculcate moral values into their children who will later grow to appreciate the essence of National Consciousness in the overall interest of unity and growth of the country
Ireede-Oginni assured Nigerian-Child of committment of her foundation to provide financial and moral support to every child with exceptional quality to succeed in his or her educational and career pursuits
Ireede Grassroots Foundation based in Ogun State has continued to offer scholarship to the brilliant children who are less privileged in the society in addition to providing financial assistance to gifted children particularly in music to enable them actualize their ambition
The foundation has also been paying examination fees of the children whose parents are poor, to enable them write West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE), Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) by the National Examination Counçil and Unified Tertiary Institutions Matriculation Examination (UTME) in various schools, while empowering windows with financial support to start various small scale businesses
