Authors in Ogun State have been urged to work together with the government and ensure that their published works encourage reading culture among learners in schools
The State Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro gave the charge in Abeokuta, while hosting members of Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Ogun State Chapter, saying educational development requires collective responsiblilties of stakeholders.
"we need to work together, to operate and to ensure that your vision matches with the government programmes in revitalising the education sector", he stated
Earlier in his remark, the Chairman of the Association, Dr. Chris Omotosho said, Ogun writers had made impact across Nigeria, pledging to continue using their books to project the good image of the State to the world.
The Head of Service also played host to the National Orientation Agency, Ogun State Branch, led by its Director, Mr. Obadina Kolawole, saying, the State would continue to synegise with all the Federal Government agencies for them to achieve their goals.
