Contractor handling the ongoing Ogun Cargo International Airport project has continued to intensify construction work, ahead of the December, 2022 completion date
Govenor Dapo Abiodun during his visit to the project site located between Ilishan-Remo and Iperu-Remo in Ikenne Local Government Area, inspected the laying of the 4km first layer of asphalt binder, including control tower and administrative building under massive construction
"We have commenced laying of the 4km first layer of asphalt binder in Ogun State's Agro-Cargo Airport, as we continue placement of stonebase", he stated.
"On the other hand, the airport's administrative building and control tower are also under massive construction as we work towards meeting the December 2022 deadline for the readiness of this monumental agro-cargo airport", Abiodun
According to him, "the airport will, on completion, create a minimum of 25,000 jobs for our teeming youth and open us up for more socio-economic development as a State".
