Ogun State Government has given approval for the laying of Optic Fibres across the length and breadth of the state, to build the required infrastructure for Digital Economy Project recently launched by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo
The Permanent Secretary,Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, TPL. Yetunde Dina who made this known in a statement in Abeokuta, says a Planning Permit has also been granted to 21st Century Technologies company to carry out the job.
The State Government according to Dina, is partnering with the company, to providing a digital economy, that will enhance people’s productivity in different area of the economy.
She advised the general public to cooperate and give necessary support to the accredited company and its personnel, to ensure speedy completion of the project.
Governor Dapo Abiodun during the celebration of the 2021 May Day for workers over the weekend, said visitors on arrival to the state from the Inter-change Roundabout on Abeokuta/Sagamu Expressed Road would free internet services on completion of the laying of the optic fibres
