18,000 Applicants Jostle for 5,000 Ogun TEACh Intervention Scheme Jobs.

Applicants numbering 18,000 are now jostling for the 5000 available teaching jobs in the both primary and secondary schools in Ogun State

The applicants who applied for the jobs under the Ogun Teaching Experience Acquisition (Ogun TEACh) , an intervention scheme initiated by the Dapo Abiodun's administration, were screened till evening of Tuesday to fill the teachers-vacancies in primary, secondary and technical colleges in the state 

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu during the monitoring exercise to the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere, the Abeokuta screening centre, explained that the process would helped to improve teaching and learning activities. 

Arigbabu revealed that the process which started with the online registration where Eighteen Thousands (18,000) candidates were shortlisted for the screening test  took place in four (4) centres across the state.

His words,"This is the first based test, which allowed candidates to sit for the Computer Based Test (CBT) after which those that successfully scale through will go through the second stage which is the oral interview, where we will pick the successful candidates that will be fit to teach in our schools". 

The Commissioner  added that part of the standard that was used, was that candidates must be a graduate of education, college of education level, post-graduate diploma in education and Higher National Diploma in education.

In their responses, 2 of the candidates, Mr. Rasak Ismail and Miss.Tolulope Shokunbi, gave kudos to the government for the employment initiative and also thank God for being part of the recruitment process.
