Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) ,Prof. Felix Kolawole Salako has asked Muslims in the institution to use the holy month of Ramadan to pray for unity,peace, progress and development of the university, Ogun State, Nigeria and the world
The Vice-Chancellor who made the call in his Goodwill Message made available on Monday to Edu-Biznews by the University's Acting Head of the Directorate of Public Relations, Kola Adepoju, felicitated with the institution's Muslim Community and faithfuls worldwide for witnessing the commencement of another holy month of Ramadan.
Prof.Salako reiterating the significance of Ramadan as one of the five pillars of Islam, urged Muslims to use the opportunity provided by the holy month to pray fervently for the restoration of normalcy in the health sector as well as peace and tranquility in troubled areas of the country
He however commended government's efforts at finding lasting solution to the challenges of insecurity and Covid-19 pandemic
The Vice Chancellor prayed God to have mercy on the prayers and devotions of His faithfuls during this holy month and beyond, and grant them divine enablement to witness more Ramadans on Earth.
