The State Bureau of Information Technology, in conjunction with 21st Century Technologies Limited is launching the Digital Economic Empowerment Project (OGDEP) at the Ogun Tech-Hub, beside President Muhammadu Buhari Estate, Kobape road, Abeokuta beginning at 11 a.m.
Director, Information Technology in the Bureau, Mrs. Olatundun Adekunle, who made this know in a statement, says stakeholders, including Royal Fathers among others are expected to grace the event
The Digital Economic Empowerment according to him, is the culmination of the ICT policy objectives of the Prince Dapo Abiodun’s administration to ensure the digitisation of government activities, to create digital inclusion, provide tools and education to help empower the youth and business owners across the State.
Adekunle expressed the State Government's support for the Federal Government’s Nigerian Digital Economic Policy and goals contained in the Federal Government’s Broadband Policy, targeted at increasing broadband penetration, particularly to unconnected and undeserved areas.
