The Ogun State Bureau of Lands and Survey has inaugurated Scheme Officers to assist it ensuring effective management of lands end better service delivery to the people
The inauguration is part of the reform agenda of the present Dapo Abiodun's administration to carry out proper land administration review process aimed at eliminating all forms of shady deals and ensure sanity in the management of lands in the state.
The Special Adviser and Director- General in the Bureau, Mr. Aina Salami, while inaugurating the officers at the ceremony in Abeokuta, says the Officers’ duty is critical to the development of the State, as it would help eradicate corruption, double allocation, among other issues.
Salami who said the job of the Scheme Officers must be handled with all seriousness to achieve set objectives, asked them to always come up with recommendations after carrying their investigation on every land issue
He urged them to put in their best in the new task, promising that necessary tools would be provided by the Bureau to enhance their performance
Salami called for synergy with other related offices, such as Surveyor -General and Deed Registrar's offices, to enable the bureau achieve the set objectives.
Also speaking ,the Director, Land Management, Mr. Adewale Adedeji said the initiative was apt, to rejig land administration across the State, expressing optimism that the inauguration of the Scheme Officers would bring about desired result.
Responding on behalf of other Scheme Officers, Mr. Adewuyi Obafemi assured the management that the assignment given would be done with every sense of responsibility to ensure success.
