Insecurity:ACOMORAN Boss Asks FG To Invest More In Infrastructure

National President of the Amalgamated Commercial Tricycle and Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN), Alhaji Samusideen Apelogun has asked the Federal Government to rise up to the expectations of Nigerians,by investing more in critical infrastructure such as good roads network, electricity, education and other basic amenities 

Apelogun speaking with newsmen  on the sideline of the recent Annual Ramadan Lecture of  Splash 106.7Fm, an Abeokuta based private radio station, identified heavy Investment in Infrastructural development across the country, as part of the measures to create more jobs and reduce the disturbing trend of insecurity and growing agitation among various interest groups for break up of Nigeria

He blamed the increasing level of insecurity in Nigeria on the failure of government to meet up with the expectations of people who voted for them for a desired change in their standard of living

 "Our leaders are doing their best but they should see us as  like Oliver Twist, we want them to do more, to provide regular electricity, good network of roads, quality education. we know Rome was not built in a day, it is a gradual process", he stated

The ACOMORAN boss who expressed his strong belief in unity of the country, cautioned agitators for break up of Nigeria against likely outbreak of war which might consume them.

"We don't pray for war but if it eventually happens ,we don't know who the war will consume, by then you would not remember your children any more, you will be running for your survival", Apelogun warned 

He however asked Nigerians to be prayerful for the political office holders, particularly the elected officials to fullfil their electoral promises to the people 

Also speaking,Head of the radio station,   Mr.Gboyega Olaniyi explained that the Ramadan Lecture was organized to provide a forum for Nigerians to address the high level of insecurity threatening the unity of the country 

He added that the lecture was being packaged to engender unity of purpose and ensure an even and progressive society, where every Nigerian co-habit together irrespective of ethnic or religion background.
