Edo2020: Isau wins Para-table tennis Men Class 4 Singles



Africa Para-table tennis reigning champion,Ogunkunle Isau of Ogun State justified his top rating, after dismissing  Chinedun Nick of Delta State 3-1, in men class 4 singles final at the ongoing 20th National Sports Festival in Benin-City

Isau's winning, is the 14th gold medal won so far for by Team-Ogun, as the events at the Edo2020 games  are coming to an end on Wednesday, April 14 in Edo state 

Also Fadilat Tijani clinched 15th gold for Team-Ogun in  the 60kg boxing event 

Another Team-Ogun Para-table tennis player, Adebowale Tomisin won silver medal in men singles class 8 while Omitunde Saheed followed suit by securing a silver medal in men singles class for the team at the Para-table tennis event held at Etete Sports Complex, Sapele Road Benin City Edo State

However, it was pandemonium at boxing event after kasali Abayomi of Team-Ogun controversially lost to his opponent from Lagos state

Fans turned chairs and tables upside down inside the hall, in protest against what they described as questionable decisions by officials who scampered for safety, following the fracas

On Tuesday evening, Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shuaibu made history with his inclusion in the State's male football side who came from two goals down, to beat Team-Lagos 3-2  and clinch gold in final played at the University of Benin
