The Ogun State owned ICT Institution also set-aside N984,318 for procurement of equipments for courses in its school of Entrepreneurial, Mass Communication Department and School of Science, in order to meet up with the accreditation requirement
Rector of the institution, Prof.Jumoke Bilesanmi-Awoderu made this known on Tuesday in Abeokuta, during her defence of the polytechnic's budgetary provision in the state's 2021 Appropriation Bill before the State House of Assembly.
She said another N726,924.50 (would be needed to procure equipment (UPS/Inverter) for courses in the school of. Engineering and School of Science.
"This is to gain acreditation of new courses mostly at HND level from NBTE , this will invariably improve Students enrollment and by extension the internally Generated Revenue of the Polytechnic in the year 2021 and beyond",she stated
She expressed confidence that the projected revenue of N348.32million for the incoming fiscal year, would be achieved, given the proposed plan for accreditation of more courses aimed at increasing the students' population.
